Check out our Keywords Directory! Before you start searching for or posting jobs, choose keywords from this resource to improve you search and your job ad.

Note about multiple accounts: You can be both a job seeker and an employer. This will require two accounts with different contact names and email addresses. Make sure you log into the appropriate account each time depending on weather you are job hunting or posting jobs. As an employer, you may also have multiple employer accounts, for different divisions for example. Simply modify the company name by adding the division/department/job type and enter contact name and email address reflecting the account’s purpose.

How to Use itravelft.com for Job Seekers

Important regarding job post sources, read before you start: The jobs listed from your keyword and location search come from multiple sources (i.e. employer posts directly to the itravelft.com site, ZipRecruiter listings, RSS feeds from other employers or job boards) and behave differently based on the source. It’s important that you keep a record in a separate document (MSWord or Excel for example) of the URLs of the jobs to which you have applied (and any other information you’d like to store i.e. date of application, follow-up notes, etc.). It is our intention to build a custom module for this site that allows you to save all your application records automatically in your account. We will notify you when this feature becomes available.

1. Sign up then login

Click on the Login button on the main menu. If you do not already have an account, select the Sign Up dropdown option. All we need is your first and last name and email address. Accounts are free and in no way obligate you to anything. We will not share your information (see our privacy policy). While you may search jobs and apply to them without an account, we will be unable to notify you periodically of valuable enhancements to the site and new employers with great jobs (you can opt out of email contact at any time, but we’re sure you won’t want to).

2. Enter your keyword and location (if any)

Use our awesome Keywords Directory to help you create and improve your searches!

Use the search fields at the top of the Home Page or Find A Job page. Use as many keywords as you need to to narrow your search, however note that fewer well-chosen keywords return “cleaner” results.  For example entering “remote and copywriter” (don’t use quotes in search fields) will return a lot of jobs for writers that can be done remotely (and maybe a staff writer about remote-controlled vehicles). No keyword searches deliver perfectly clean results.

Use Boolean terms (here’s a short tutorial on Boolean logic) to refine your search. Note that the itravelft.com search engine does not accept the Boolean term OR at this time, but AND and NOT work very well (they do not need to be capitalized). Here’s and example continued from above:

You entered “remote and copywriter” and you like most of the initial results, but a number of the results are for Senior Media Buyer (because they supervise remote copywriters). Eliminate those positions by adding “NOT buyer” to your search string. You do not need to include “senior” and “media” (and probably don’t want to) because you might be a senior copywriter specializing in new media.

Don’t be discouraged if the results seem a bit sloppy when you first start your searching. Remember that less is more when working with keywords and knowing the vernacular employers use and using it in your keyword strings will ultimately deliver great results.

Currently, location searches are formatted as “City, State (two-letter abbreviation), Country (some abbreviated i.e. USA). If you want to work remotely/virtually/work from home, don’t put anything in the location filter as it will seldom matter where your dream job is located or where you are. Soon we’ll add global regions to the location search.

3. Click the green search button

If you search from the Home Page doing so will take you to the Find A Job page where you can continue to search by editing your search strings. You can also start unlimited entirely new search strings by clearing the contents of the keyword field.

4. Browse the ads shown and see more ads by clicking load more listings button at bottom of list

Click anywhere inside the frame of the job to which you want to review details and/or apply . When you click on an ad, it will open in a new tab (remember to record the URL of the ads to which you). Because we have ads posted directly to our site as well as feeds from external ad sources, you may be applying for jobs on other search engine platforms. In the near future, all your job ad clicks will be recorded automatically to your dashboard and you’ll be able to revisit, remove and apply to them with one click.

Note that the jobs list by relevance to your search string and show how long ago they posted in the right column. The older the ad the more likely it has been filled or is no longer a priority for the company, but if it’s your dream job, apply anyway!

5. Refine your search for results better tailored to your interests

See section 2 above for tips on improving and refining your keyword search. In the near future we’ll be adding job categories, regions and types (i.e. seasonal, work from home, etc.) to drop-down menus to further improve our search engine.

6. Record the URL(s) for the job(s) to which you apply or want to view again

7. Create your membership

While searching for and applying to jobs will always be free, we hope you will help us get better and better and curating your dream jobs by becoming an annual, quarterly or monthly member of itravelft.com. With your membership dues we can work quickly to add employers, jobs and great features to our service, and you’ll have access to them all as our VIP job seekers. We so value and need your support.

8. Revisit favorite employers' ad postings quickly and easily

On the Company Page you can go straight to your favorite employer’s new job postings with just a click any time you visit the site. From there you can simply click and apply to the ones you like.

9. Get help whenever you need it

How to Use itravelft.com for Employers

1. Sign up then Login

We need to know who you are to add you to the employer’s list and market your jobs to our job seekers. Once you’ve registered, your job postings will be available for your edits and management on your My Dashboard.

2. Choose and purchase the right subscription package for you

In order to post jobs, you’ll need an employer subscription package. Start small if you want. You’ll get a 30- to 60-day free trial with any package. You can upgrade/downgrade at any time, even purchase extra posts for those busy months without having to change your subscription. You can also suspend/resume or cancel your subscription at any time without penalty and have multiple subscriptions if you have sub-entities that need to manage their postings separately.

3. Post your job

Once you have subscribed, you can simply click on Post A Job and do just that. Please do fill out all the fields even they are not required. The more you tell us about what you need the better and faster the right candidates will find you and apply.

4. Obtain job-post approval

We’ll review and approve your job post in less than 12 hours. While it’s in approval stage (and after it’s posted) you can continue to edit it from your dashboard.

5. Receive and process applications

We’ll keep you updated on the always-in-development new ways to streamline the application process. Our fulfillment engine defaults to emailing in an application based on the email address from your account registration, but you can give them instructions and links in the descriptive fields so they can respond to your ad any way you want them to, i.e. on your website, through a third party job board form, etc.

6. Get your jobs featured

Just let us know if you’d like your job posting to be featured on our Home Page or through social media. We publicize your ads extensively always, but sometimes you’ll want some extra effort and we’re here to give it to you. Just email patricia@itravelft.com and let us know what ads you want super-marketing for and why. We’ll get right on it.
